VESPA

The iconic Vespa was created, designed by Enrico Piaggio and Corradino D’ascanio, an aeronautical engineer who liked airplanes more than motorcycles. Vespa with a revolutionary looking design for its time; with the engine on the rear wheel and the front arm designed with the landing gear of an airplane in mind. Vespa went on sale in 1946 at the end of World War II, as a comfortable, easy to handle and cheap means of transportation. It is said that when Piaggio saw it’ he said’; Bella! it looks like a wasp “Vespa“.
